Did Tesla Kill Your Electricity Company?

It is hardly an exaggeration to say that the world underwent change in May 2015. To be specific, we are talking about the night that Elon Musk of Tesla Motors revealed a game-changing innovation.

In the mid-2000s, it was difficult to draw the attention of investors to renewable energy. By that point in time, the industry had already seen its fair share of excellent ideas. Sadly, most of them were brought down by weak execution. Things started to change once the industry finally got more recognition among the members of the general public.

One of the most valid points against renewable energy is that it requires specific conditions. Solar energy requires the sun to shine, wind energy requires wind, and more. Despite all of this, there are a lot of reasons to remain hopeful. If we can utilize smart grids and energy systems, our dream of energy independence will feel even closer.

However, a groundbreaking piece of innovation has made things even easier than they used to be with the introduction of the Powerwall. It is a home energy storage device that you may charge with the help of solar panels on the roof.

Once the sun has gone down, this battery can be used to power the house. If you rely on the power grid, it can also function as a backup system in case power outages take place.

This is an amazing development if you want to live sustainably. Prior to this, we did not have the same opportunity to convert our residences into mini fueling stations and power plants. Electric car owners will be delighted to have one of these things in your garage.

After all, who wouldn’t love to fill up their car with electricity that they generated from the comfort of their own home? All of a sudden, it feels like the dream of a sustainable and clean world is nowhere near as distant as we used to think.
