The Project Of The Largest Solar Energy Building Planned For Atlantic City

The Atlantic City Convention Center has signed a 20 year agreement with Pepco Energy Services for a 2.36 megawatt solar roof installed on the building. When completed later this year, the project is estimated to be America’s largest solar energy building. This is 13.321 solar panels covering nearly two thirds of the building and saving nearly $ 4.4 million in electricity costs for 20 years the agreement.

Under the terms of the agreement between the convention center and Pepco, Pepco will pay installation and the Convention Center will purchase the electricity generated by Pepco.

The financial details of the multi-million deal have not been released. The installation is ready to begin within 30 days and will be completed later this year.
