Photovoltaic Solar Panels Integrated To The Roof

Electricity Solar Panels

The solar electric panels (or photovoltaic) generate electricity for residential and commercial use. The solar panels come in different shapes and sizes but what people have to decide is whether they wish to have the panels mounted on the roof or inside the roof.

Solar Panels on Roof

The easiest way to feed the solar panels mounted above the roof deck. This means that the tiles in their places and the panels are placed directly over them. The panels conform to the roof via special brackets.

Integrated roof panels (under the roof)

Alternatively the panels on the roof tiles can be placed and removed and the panel can be placed on the roof. This leaves the panels flush with the tiles.

In deciding which option is the best there are a number of factors to consider. On the roof, solar panels are easier and faster to place. Thus, installation costs are lower. However, the panels on the roof add an additional burden on the roof.

Integrated roof panels need to be removed from the roof deck, this can cause intrigue regarding the conditions of the felts and boards under the shingles, if this poor need a renovation. However, the panels are integrated into the roof more aesthetically pleasing to the eye the systems on the roof.

Of course, if you have a house which has the ceiling yet to be placed on (newly constructed or reconstructed), then integrated into the roof panels are the best option.

Also save money and need to buy fewer tiles.
